NaLyn Nelson has been a proud resident of Hyrum for 29 years, where she and her husband have raised their family and built lasting ties within the community. She values the small-town atmosphere and the strong sense of connection among its residents.
As a teacher in the homeschool community, NaLyn instructs students in Speech and Debate as well as Constitutional Studies. Her passion for civic education is matched by her hands-on experience in public service. She has served as a state and county delegate for over a decade and recently held the position of Vice Chair for the South District on the Cache County GOP Executive Committee.
In addition, NaLyn has worked in the County Clerk’s office and has been actively involved with the County Elections Center since 2022.
Believing deeply in the responsibility of citizens to participate in local governance, NaLyn is committed to promoting accountability, transparency, and increased citizen input. She believes it is time for thoughtful, responsible growth that preserves the values and character of Hyrum.
